Never Mess With a Little Boy's Food!
My four year old was looking at his science book on tornadoes, today. His uncle dropped by with food from Sonic (a fast food burger spot) and told him that his grandma didn't buy any food for him (he was teasing him). So, up went my 4 year old's hand and he told his uncle that a tornado storm would come and get him if he didn't hand over his popcorn chicken. His uncle had this shocked look on his face (priceless).

We have "weaned" ourselves off of box curriculum for Math and Grammar. So far everything is going great. I was stuck in the mindset that my son would be missing something if we didn't choose to use a box curriculum for Math and Grammar. It seems like my 13 year old is learning and retaining more using online worksheets and "Key to" workbooks. I now realize that the boxed curriculum we were using was weighing us down like weeds. Now that our family has cut the "weeds" from our curriculum, my son is able to learn and grow.
